UPDATE 09:20, 14 APRIL:
The 24th week of the Strike Against Sewage will begin at 10:00am. We will be here for 24-hours until 10am tomorrow morning – demanding an end to sh*t in Windermere.
Please join us at any point over the next 24-hours. Our special guest Steve Coogan will be here at 1pm this afternoon, so come down to UU’s Disinformation Centre to say hello.
Plus, if you’re in the Lake District today, keep your eyes peeled for our Save Windermere van which will be driving around all day, making sure everyone knows the dirty truth about United Utilities operations in this National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Snap a pic and tag us on socials for the chance to win a Save Windermere tee.
To mark the 24th week of Save Windermere’s weekly Strike Against Sewage – which equates to a full day spent striking – Save Windermere will protest outside United Utilities Information Centre in Windermere for 24 hours straight.
Throughout the day, Save Windermere will be joined by special guests, including Steve Coogan, and host a series of activations.
This follows national water campaigner Feargal Sharkey’s visit to Windermere to join the strike on 8th April.
The 24-hour strike will be held from 10am, Sunday 14th April - 10 am, Monday 15th April outside United Utilities Information Center, 8 Crescent Road, Windermere, LA23 1EA.
