Strike Against Sewage | Surfers Against Sewage Edition
We’re excited to announce that Surfers Against Sewage, one of the oldest sewage campaigns in the country, will be kicking-off their UK Election Road-Trip at Save Windermere’s weekly Strike Against Sewage on Monday 17th June. If you are free from 9am-10am on Monday morning, join us outside United Utilities Information Centre - you won’t want to miss it!
24-HOUR STRIKE AGAINST SEWAGE
To mark the 24th week of Save Windermere’s weekly Strike Against Sewage, Save Windermere will protest outside United Utilities Information Centre in Windermere for 24 hours straight.
Throughout the day, Save Windermere will be joined by special guests, including Steve Coogan.
FEARGAL SHARKEY JOINS STRIKE AGAINST SEWAGE
The Save Windermere campaign will be joined by special guest Feargal Sharkey for their weekly strike against sewage pollution.
The strike will be held on Monday 8th April from 9-10am outside United Utilities Information Center, 8 Crescent Road, Windermere, LA23 1EA.

Welsh chef Tom ‘Westy’ Westerland heads up the kitchen at Gilpin’s newest restaurant, Knipe Grill at Gilpin Lake House. His menus are fun, entertaining, nostalgic and tap into a sense of playfulness to create memorable, talkworthy dishes. Westy proudly holds the enviable title of National Chef of the Year for Wales.

Richard has been Head Chef at Allium since it opened. He was awarded his first Michelin star in 2019 where he received praise for his “innate understanding” of how to use the “fantastic produce” on Askham’s doorstop.
Ben is a calm, unassuming chef, who cooks with his heart and plenty of natural talent. He sensibly keeps his dishes satisfying and recognisable, showcasing local ingredients in pure, understated compositions with plenty of depth, where flavour comes above all else.
Anthony enjoys travelling to different countries, especially for food. It gives him inspiration and he is fascinated by Asian flavours and cuisines. Anthony’s first Sous chef job was at the Pheasant Inn, before joining Askham Hall as Sous chef in 2016.
