Introducing the New Save Windermere Brand

WATCH OUR NEW CAMPAIGN FILM · A SIMPLE MESSAGE

As momentum grows and the national conversation around sewage pollution in our waterways intensifies, the Save Windermere campaign is proud to unveil our new branding and website that reflects our commitment to protecting our precious lake.

Our new branding represents a fresh start for the campaign, as we recommit ourselves to our mission of ending all treated and untreated sewage discharges into the Windermere catchment. This comes just a few weeks after United Utilities released their 2022 EDM data, which showed that sewage spilled from storm overflows into the catchment for over 5,900 hours last year - up from the 2021 figures. You can read more about the problems facing Windermere here.

Stop the Sewage

Our new icon visually communicates our key message - stop the sewage - using a green algae coloured slash through a circle representing United Utilities sewage pipes.

The green algae pattern we have developed mirrors the algal blooms we see in Windermere.

We are also excited to introduce our new website, which features a sleek and modern design that we hope is both engaging and informative. Our new site is designed to make it easier for visitors to learn about the problems facing Windermere, the work we are doing and how they can get involved to support the campaign. If you would like to donate to the campaign, you can now do so via the website.

We hope you like our new look and we thank you for your continued support of the campaign.

If you would like to get involved, volunteer or just find out more about us, please do get in touch.

Together, we can protect our lake, save our wildlife and ensure that future generations can enjoy the beauty of the Lake District.

Thanks to the team at Lake House Creative for all their support and bringing our vision to life.
