“A sewage dump was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of salmon, trout and pike in a stream leading to Windermere, a study suggests.

South Cumbria Rivers Trust (SCRT), a charity that monitors the waterways of the Lake District, claimed that its analysis showed pollution levels were significantly raised downstream of a treatment works run by United Utilities on the day after the dead fish were discovered.”
